Yavapai Humane Celebrates 40th Anniversary

Yavapai Humane Society Celebrates 40th Anniversary

The Yavapai Humane Society (YHS) is celebrating its 40th anniversary in March 2012.

In keeping with the 40th Anniversary theme YHS is offering during the months of February and March:
·
  • Dog adoptions for $40.  Every dog comes with a spay/neuter surgery, current vaccinations, microchip, 1 month of pet insurance, and a free wellness exam from one of YHS’ local veterinary supporters (a $450 value).   (Puppies, purebreds and dogs less than 15 pounds are $120.)
  • Cat adoptions: adopters choose their price.  (Kittens less than 6 months of age are $95.)
  • Any three items at the YHS Spay/Neuter & Wellness Clinic for $40.  Items include microchip, Rabies, DA2PPV, Bordatella, and FVRCP vaccinations (a $67 value).
YHS is also announcing the launch of its new website designed to be more user friendly; providing more information about animal behavior and pet care.  Every page features a photo of an animal adopted from YHS.  “We hope to collect an adopted animal photo for every year since 1972,” says Missy Paschke-Wood, Marketing & Development Director. “Folks can email pictures to us, or bring them in to the shelter where we can scan them.”
